Summer Camp

Our program runs from 3:30-6:00 pm. Your child will be bussed to our 420 West Buffington location in Anderson, Texas from the elementary or middle school. 

The Owl's Nest Afterschool Program provides a safe and structured environment for your  Pre-K-6th grade child to socialize, learn new skills, and receive homework assistance. It also offers opportunities for physical activity, creativity, and personal growth. We, at the Owl’s Nest,  know after school our families are so busy with practices, appointments, dinner, and chores and this leaves very little time for homework or skills that need to be completed for a successful school year.  Let us at the Owl’s Nest make that time and schedule for your child. When you pick up your child all you have to focus on is family time,  practice, and dinner. All the other business from the school day is already completed.  When you come to get your child we will give you their “Take-Home folder” which we will open to show you the progress we made from the day and any papers you need to see or sign for school or extra activities from the community. 

Yes, there is a fee for the program. The cost is above in our Tuition tab. 

The program is ran by Rebecca Cawthon and JJ Oller as well as a team of experienced and dedicated staff members who are committed to providing a high-quality experience for all participants. All staff members undergo background checks and receive training in child development, safety, and first aid.

When is Owl’s Nest Afterschool Program Closed?

Owl’s Nest Afterschool Program follows the Anderson-Shiro ISD school calendar. When school is in session, Owl’s Nest is open and available for afterschool care. When school is closed, our regular afterschool program is closed.

We believe kids need time to rest, recharge, and enjoy important family time during school breaks. However, we understand that families may still need care during some school holidays and breaks. Owl’s Nest now offers Break Care on select school break days for an additional fee.
